Jacorey Flood '16 Recruiting Profile

Eversince I started running Track in the 10th grade, my goals have been to progress my skills, and to become a leader on and off the track. My sophomore year was a year I used to develop, and to learn from those in front of me, so that when it was my turn I could contribute and do great things on the Track.  As I move into my third season on the Varsity Track team, I've been doubted, and thought as someone who wouldn't be capable of competing at the collegiate level. It is my dream to run Track at the next level, and I'll do what it takes to get to that point. I've learned so much from this sport alone, and it's taught me so much in terms of hard work and dedication. No other sport pushes me to the limit like Track does. I'm driven to the point that every Track meet I'm looking to hit a PR, and finish better than I did in my previous meet. Being average is ok with some people, but it's gets them nowhere once they graduate from high school, and soon from college. By the time I graduate I want coaches to see how serious I am about my education and my athletics. I want every coach to know that I'm going to give it my all in the classroom, at every practice, and at every meet. I'm dedicated to this sport, and I want to continue to compete on a team that I can call family, and home.

                Now being my senior year, I am motivated to work even harder to gain the interest of many coaches. I've done so many things to get to this point, and I want to be able to commit in April to a team that wants me for my skills and abilities, and for what I can bring to their team. For that coach that ends up landing me as a student athlete I want to say that your getting one of the most hungriest, most humble, and dedicated athlete that wants to prove his worth day in; day out.
