I believe that through track and field, I have been able to grow as a mentally and physically. That moment after I had won the district championship in the 110m hurdles was electrifying, but it was even better knowing that I had gave it my all. Track has taught me even if you don't win, you still have to run your race and stay in your lane.
Academically, I wish to pursue the medical/dental field of practice. While I would hope to continue my track career in college, my focus is academics first and would like to use track in order to further my education.
