I an currently a senior at lehman high school. I have two years of varsity experience in cross country. In my junior year, due to my hard work and dedication, i was moved up to varsity after two meets, since I placed 3rd and 6th and got medals in both. In my senior year, i was co-captain of the varsity cross country team. I got two medals in two meets. I have two years of experience playing basketball at wallace middle school. I also played freshmen basketball for lehman. I played two years for the junior varsity team at lehman. In my junior year, i was co-captain of the basketball team. I am currently on the Varsity basketball team for lehman. I also played 4 years of AAU basketball with San Marcos Hawks. I also have gone to basketball camps as well - San Antonio Spurs Basketball camp, as well as the University of Texas Basketball camp.
These camps were in the summertime so that I could improve my game.
I am a hard working dedicated athlete on the field and off, I also take care of my academics as well. In one of the games that I played recently, our point guard got injured. I stepped it up and helped out offensively as well as defensely for our team as one of the guards, scoring 13 points. I have faced alot of adversity but that does not stop me. It just makes me want it even more. It is my dream to play sports in college. One of my strong assets is my court vision and I adjust my game to that. I have alot of knowledge about cross country as well as basketball.
I am looking for a smaller school that has a good cross country/basketball program. Also, a Catholic private school would be considered since I am a practicing Catholic.
My family would like finanical aid to help out with the college costs.
My desired major is kinesiology/athletic training. It is my goal to become a successful cross country or basketball coach.
I would like to be given the opportunity to play as a freshman on any team that I make for college.
