My parents immigrated to America so that they could take advantage of all of the opportunities we enjoy here. Like them, I want to become a doctor, and strive to do my best in the classroom. My cumulative GPA is a 3.5 and I scored a 1230 and 28 on the SAT and ACT, respectively (SAT score out of 1600). Outside of the classroom I have logged over 200 volunteer hours with my church (including construction experience), performed in several festivals a year for piano (I have been playing for nine years), and I love to read.
Track is my true passion. Since 3rd grade, I have competed every year in the sprints. This experience has taught me much about the sport, and about myself. It gives me an edge over my opponents and helps me to maintain a level head. Four years ago I started competing in the Junior Olympics, and have been a JO State finalist every year. I also won the Track City International Classic in the 100m and 200m for two years running, up until this year. My best times are an 11.13 and 22.34 in the 100m and 200m, but I also compete in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. These times will continue to drop during my senior seasons of track.
If you are looking for a well-rounded student who works hard on and off the track, then I'm your guy. Thank you for your time.
