As a High School student I have learned the necessity of hard work and setting specific goals for my education and my athletics. The key factor that has helped me succeed with my goals thus far is being consistent every week with the amount of time I spend with my class work and my time training as an athlete. One of my future goals in college is to complete a degree in Mechanical Engineering. This degree appeals to me because there is a strong emphasis on math and design technology. My dream is to complete my training in the field of Structural engineering and return to the family business with a CPE certification.
I feel that I have a strong potential for growth as an athlete because I have the self discipline to work through the challenges that are presented. With the training I have received at home and School I have learned the importance of teamwork and the gratification of assisting others. Track has given me so many opportunities for personal success and team building. I have learned the importance of pushing myself to be better and challenging my teammates to strive for improvement every time we train. I feel that my character and my ability to encourage others will help me succeed in the future as a college athlete.
