Justin Floyd '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Justin Floyd, and I'm a senior at Maiden High School.   I have been on the track team since my freshman year and have fallen in love with the sport.   I am  5'10 and 150 lbs.   My favorite event is the long jump and it is also my best.   My best jump is currently a 19-10.5 which I hit at regionals junior year.  My average jumps now are around 19 feet.   I'm a hard worker on the track and in the pits, and my practices and stats to those around me show that.   I was a co-captain my freshman year and  I have been a team captain since my sophmore year.   Also,  this past summer, I placed 2nd in the high jump, and 8th in the Long Jump, at the AAU Regionals Track meet held at UNCC.  I qualified and participated in the  AAU Junior Olympics  in New Orleans competing in the High Jump.  I finished 33rd out of 50, scratching out at 5'8.  I would really like to be a student-athlete on the track team at college.  I  would be a great addition to any team because I am a hard worker with a heart for the sport.
