My name is Anthony Lorenzo, Senior at North Mecklenburg High School, in Huntersville, NC. I am writing you because I would like to be a considered for your Cross Country and Track programs. I am currently 17 as of August 13th 2015. I am looking for a mid-distant program that will allow me to grow with a competitive program at the collegiate level in the 500M, 800M thru1600M racing and XC. I am been honored with 2 time all conference in XC, team captain for XC and Track and State qualifier in the 1,000M and 500M for 2016 indoor track for this season and expect to break into the 4:30 range in the 1600 this season. I recognized that I am a late bloomer in the sport only starting in my freshman year, but I have a lot of upside and potential that I hope you can recognize from my times posted in MileSplit and progression. If that with the right training with the excellent coaching, I will deliver points in competition.
In addition, I am an excellent student-athlete with a weighted GPA of 4.00 and intend to major in Mechanical Engineering. I am service minded, working on the final step of my Boy Scout Eagle rank that enable me help people and groups through volunteering with my scout troop and other functions. I consider myself trust worthy and responsible and a good person overall.
I have made applications to the university and hope to hear on acceptance in January. I have been accepted at 3 other university already and actively being recruited, but would really like for you to review and give me a look.
Thank you,
Anthony
