My aspiration for the near future is to be a successful student/athlete at a college that I can contribute to both in the classroom as well as on the track and field. I've enjoyed competing for my school in various track and field events over the past 3 years. During this time, my best event has consistently been the Javelin. This past season was my most successful having won three titles including the New York Inter-sectional meet. I was also invited to compete at the New Balance National Event in North Carolina where I placed 17th in the Emerging Elite group. My goal as a senior this upcoming Track and Field season is to break my school's Javelin record of 180 ft. My most recent accomplishments are:
2016 Staten Island Advance All-Star
2016 Msgr Farrell HS Most Valuable Outdoor Field Athlete
Ranked 2nd in New York State for seniors
As much as Track and Field has become a staple part of my life, my commitment to my education is just as important. I am an honors student at Monsignor Farrell HS and was recently nominated as a National Posse Foundation candidate. I plan on furthering my education at a college that can offer me the opportunity to excel academically and in a challenging environment. I look forward to my search for a college that I can contribute my talents to and I thank you for taking the time to consider me for your program.
