Hello Coaches, I am Michael Aman. I am a 5'7" sprinter from Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, New Jersey. I began running track during the Indoor season of my freshman year (2011-12), I made the Varsity team, and I have run Varsity ever since.
During Indoor, I run the 55m (6.78 time), 4x200m (21.92 split) and 4x400m (52.4 split).
During Outdoor, I run the 100m (11.28), 200m (22.55), 4x100m (11.2), 4x200m (21.9), 4x400m (51.1), and the SMR (200m leg - 22.0).
2015 Indoor: SHP won the 2014 Super Essex Conference Championships. I finished 4th in the conference in the 55m (6.79); I finished 7th in the SEC conference in the 400m.
SHP won the 2015 Essex County Indoor Relay Championships. My 4x200 and SMR teams both finished second in the county.
My SHP 4x200 team won the NJCTC Winter Relay with a National Elite Gold time of 1:32.30.
My SHP SMR team finished 2nd at the Lavino Relays with a National Elite Gold time of 3:38.66 (my 200m split time was 22.5). Ranking us 9th in the nation.
My SHP 4x400 team finished 2nd in the Millrose Games qualifier with a 3:28.56 (my 400m split was 52.0). We will compete on Feb 14, 2015.
My SHP teams finished 2nd in the 4x200m (1:33.43) and 2nd in the SMR (3:37.63 - maintaining our 9th place in the nation) at the NJSIAA Non-Public A State Relays.
SHP won the Essex County Team Individual Championship - I placed 5th in the 200m and 7th in the 55m (with a time of 6.78).
I finished 3rd overall in the 200m at the State Prep Championship with a time of 23.07.
2014 Outdoor: My 4x100 team won the Blue Devil Classic with a time of 43.74. My 4x100 and 4x200 teams won the Millburn - Beck Relays with times of 43.61and 131.33.
SHP placed 2nd at the Essex County Relays...my 4x100 team finished 2nd with a time of 43.21.
SHP placed 2nd at SEC Conference Meet...I ran 11.48 in the 100 meter dash and 22.94 in the 200 meter dash.
In early June, I qualified for the USATF Junior Olympic Regionals, finishing 3rd in the 100m and 5th in the 200m. I competed in the regionals on July 12-13 and finished 5th in the 100 (11.28) and 4th in the 200 (22.55). See results here:

I moved on to the USATF National Track and Field Championships to be held July 21-27 in Houston, TX.
2014 Indoor: My 4x200 team turned in a time of 1:32.29 - earning us Milesplit U.S. 1st Team Elite Honors; my 4x400 turned in a time of 3:27.90, which also gave us the honoring of being named Milesplit U.S. 1st Team Elite.
SHP won the 2014 Super Essex Conference Championships. I finished 6th in the SEC conference in the 400m; I finished 5th in the conference in the 55m (6.97); and my team won the 4x400 meter relay (53.4 split).
SHP won the 2014 Essex County Indoor Relay Championships. My relay team won both the 4x200 (23.6 split) and the 4x400 (53.6 split); my sprint medley team also finished 3rd.
SHP won the 2014 State (Prep-A) Overall Championship. My 4x400 relay team won the 2014 State (Prep-A) Championship. I finished 4th overall in the 55m at the 2014 State (Prep-A) State Championships with a time of 6.90.
2013 Outdoor: My 4x100 team won the 2013 NJCTC 4x100 Meter Relays (42.9), won the 2013 Morris Hills Relays 4x100 (43.46), finished 16th (Large Schools) at the 2013 Penn Relays (42.95), finished 2nd at the 2013 East Coast Relays (43.17), finished 2nd at 2013 NJSIAA Sectionals - North I - Non-Pub North A (43.47), and finished 4th at the 2013 NJSIAA Groups (State Finals) - Non-Pub North A (43.74).
My team won the 2013 Essex County 4x200 Meter Relay (1:29:87) (22.5 split), the 2013 Morris Hills Relay (1:30.13) (22.4 split), and the 2013 NJCTC 4x200 Meter Relay (1:29.80) (22.4 split).
My 4x400 Sophomore team was the 2013 Summit Relays 4x400 Novice Champions (3:39.24)
My Sprint Medley team won 2013 Millburn Relays 1600 Sprint Medley Relay (22.4 split in 200 meter leg).
SHP won the 2013 Essex County Relay Team Title and the 2013 Essex County Overall Title.
I won the 2013 NJCTC Outdoor Frosh-Soph 100m Championship (11.74) and the 2013 NJCTC Outdoor Frosh-Soph 200m Championship (23.54) (NOTE: it was windy and rainy the entire meet). In the 2013 Essex County Championships 100m, I placed 16th place overall (11.66); and, in the 2013 Super Essex County Conf Championships 200m - Large Schools, I placed 10th place, (23.43). I placed 14th in the NJSIAA Sectionals - North I - Non-Pub North A 100m (11.90), and I placed 10th in the NJSIAA Sectionals - North I - Non-Pub North A 200m (23.42).
Apart from the Seton Hall prep team, I ran in the 2013 AAU NJ District Junior Olympic Qualifier and finished 2nd place in the 100 meter dash (11.28) and I finished 2nd place in 200 meter dash (22.82).
2012 Outdoor: My freshman year, I won the 2012 NJCTC Outdoor Frosh-Soph 100m Championship (11.5) and the 2012 NJCTC Outdoor Frosh-Soph 200m Championship (23.4). My 4x200 team won the 2012 Essex County 4x200 Meter Relay (1:28.81) (23.6 split).
