Jorge Jurado '14 Recruiting Profile

       Throughout eight grade year my parents were in their commence of many marathons in various states. At first my thoughts were, " how can running be enjoyable", but I decided to support them in the quest to finishing a marathon. Every weekend when they went to Central Park to complete one of their nine races that are a requirement for the New York City Marathon,I would hop into these races. Distances which varied from 5k's to half marathons. My competitive nature began to surface. My first season of track began freshman year in indoor season, I wouldn't compete in cross country because at the time I was playing soccer. Indoor track was what established my love for running. Heart,dedication, and drive were characteristics which continue to help me improve. I strive for greatness. Some of my dreams are becoming All-American at which ever college I decide to attend. Becoming a successful runner and student are my biggest dreams.
