I am a distance track athlete at Lawrence High School. My preferred race of choice would be the 1600 M, but I have always been more than willing to run in any event that would help my team achieve victory. I am a natural competitor and a hard worker. I love setting out challenges for myself and I have always strived to be tenacious in achieving my goals. However, I am an athlete who would rather achieve his goals to produce success for his team, than just for personal satisfaction.
I am a firm believer in sacrificing who you are as a person, for what you want to become. My willingness to make sacrifices in school, track, or even life has allowed me to learn that saying the word "No," is illogical and thus, has been removed from my vocabulary. If asked to run track at a University, that program would be accepting an athlete, who will not only be willing to do whatever is necessary to help the team succeed, but a student who would be actively involved in campus activities. I am a very social individual who is looking for a University that offers opportunities that extend past college. I would never rule anything out, because I understand that giving something a chance, could turn out to be the best decision I ever make.
