Owen Davitt '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Owen Davitt and I am currently a senior at Glen Rock High School. At the beginning of my high school career I played soccer in the fall and ran track in the spring to keep in shape for soccer however, I soon realized that I should focus on pursuing a future in running. I have now been running track for four years and found a passion in competing and continuing to beat my personal best time. I am my own biggest critic and am constantly pushing myself to the limit. Although I work hard on the track and in the classroom, I set realistic goals and keep an open mind. This year I decided to run my first season of cross country, where I found myself taking new strides figuratively and literally. My biggest athletic goal is to lower my times throughout the season and find a college that will allow be to continue the path I started for myself. In my athletic, academic and everyday life, I am very easy to get along with and have humorous personality. I enjoy my free time relaxing with friends, family and my two dogs. I believe that I am a well rounded young man with many talents to offer and hope to find a school that is a great fit for the path I have laid out for myself. 

I would like to also share my latest achievement-Cross Country Dual Meet on September 30, 2015 - My time 16:37, I came in first place and broke the Glen Rock School Record.
