Edric Vites '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi. My name is Edric Vites and I am a three year varsity Cross Country, Winter, and Spring Track member at Freehold Borough High School. I am a 5'8, 150 pound Hispanic senior. I was and I am the captain for my junior and senior years. I only have 3 years of running experience so the times I am running are very raw. Also, I do not run for any AAU teams and my coach is inexperienced. As a result, all my times have solely been of my hard work. I have a 3.57 GPA and a 1780 SAT score. I will end my high school career with 6 seasons of being captain so I am used to leading people. Another example of this is  that I am a shift leader at both my jobs. I am also one of the hardest workers you will ever meet. I will and have put my heart and soul into the sport. I love to be competitive and excel in pressure. I am very friendly, outgoing, easy to talk to, and very good with people.
I have started the recruiting process late due to the poor involvement of parent influence in my life and due to the short amount of time I have been running but I would love to run in college. It has always been a dream for me to play college athletics. I am looking for a school that is willing to give me money to run for their team that I can obtain a degree in nursing regardless of the location, type of school, or division it is.  Financial aid is going to be a key factor in the college I am going to attend. I want to compete at the highest level possible but also have a impact of the team. I am looking at school of all divisions. I have huge goals this senior year and plan to drop my times greatly. I have worked very hard during the summer.
