Sullivan Stevens '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'8" 165 lb. hurdler from Sun Valley, Nevada. I have been the Varsity Hurdler for my school track team since my Freshman year,2007. That year I set the school record for the 300m intermediate hurdles at almost every meet we ran in. I was also on our state qualifying 4 x100m relay squad,primarily as the starter. My Sophomore year, I was elevated to team hurdle/sprint captain where I broke my freshman school records,broke the 110m hurdle school record, and helped my 4x100 relay squad to, again, qualify for the State Track and Field Championships. My Junior year I was able to challenge myself by setting new school records in both hurdle distances,setting a meet record at the Thunder Invitational track meet in Rocklin, Ca. and qualifying for the State Championships in the 4x100 relay and the 300m hurdles, where I placed 5th. In June I was invited and competed in the Golden West Invitational Meet in Roseville, Ca. I also was a mentor to our younger hurlers. This year, my senior year, I have been undefeated in the state of Nevada in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, this includes the state track and field meet where I broke the stadium record in the 300 hurdles. I now am a two event State Champion in the State of Nevada. I am on track to receive my honors diploma this coming June. My academic and career goal has been to become a marine biologist. I am hoping to attend a college preferably in the west coast and northwest regions.
