Playing sports at a collegiate level has always been an aspiration of mine. Whether it be track and field or football, it is my goal to play in college. Working hard during the season and especially in the off season has put me in position to do my best during competition. Working hard has always been a part of my life. I have learned you can't achieve anything without hard work and dedication. That combination creates leadership; a trait I feel I possess. I have always been relatively successful in track and field. I set high standards and goals for myself every season and work hard to meet them. Once you have success, you get addicted. You do whatever it takes to have more and more success. I have found myself throwing on weekends and putting extra hours in the weight room. The extra hard work has paid off these last seasons, as I started placing at meets sophomore year, started placing higher and even winning a meet in both shot put and discus junior year, and hope to get even better my senior year. I would love to be able to continue one of my passions at a collegiate level and would be willing to put in the time and work to do so.
