Last year I placed in Montana's class A state track meet in 6 of my 7 events and have gone to state in multiple events every year.
My dad and grandpa both ran track so as a young child I was excited for high school to finally come so that I could compete, and its also always been my dream to run track for a competitive school in college. Because of these desires I've made sure to keep my grades up and work hard on and off the track so that when the time came I would meet all the expectations.
Academically I am very well rounded. I attended Montana Boy's State, do lots of community service, have always been on honor roll, am finishing up the last bit of my Eagle project, attend seminary, have a job as a waiter at a restaurant, and take advanced classes. I have always been a natural leader and people seem to like following my example which has always made me want to be a good example.
I have always enjoyed athletics, I am a natural runner thanks to my dad and grandpa and I enjoy working hard knowing results will follow. Although in the small town of Stevensville I have never had access to a gym, I always work hard and enjoy training. My Freshman year I ran my favorite races (the short hurdles and 400M) and jumped at all the meets which is when I marked my triple jump mark but since then I have picked up more races including the 4X100 and 300M Hurdles and so I stopped competing in triple jump and long jump. last season (my junior year) I competed in High Jump, the 400M, 200M, 300MH, and the short and long relays, but I am a very rounded athlete who can compete in most events excluding throwing (in junior high I shot put and often took first place but didn't enjoy throwing as much as other events). I would like to specialize in the 400M and try to run as fast a time as possible while also run the 4X4 and a few other events as needed so that I could perform my best in all but I have never minded running as many events as possible to try and score more points for our team.
