I would like you to know, that track meets basically are my practices. Our school does not have a place to practice jumps with proper facilities. When I qualified for state in high jump, we went to a local school's track and I feel we practiced more in that one day than I had in all 4 years of my varsity track career. I actually changed my approach that day and used it at the state meet after missing my first attempt at 6'2. I placed 2nd in state and was able to clear two new personal records that day, clearing 6'4 and 6'5. I have always been a jumper, it just comes natural. With proper facilities and regular practices, I feel these personal best of mine could greatly improve. I truly live in the middle of nowhere, so there are no track clubs for me to join.
