Personal Statement
My name is Mark Swymer and I participate as a track and field as well as cross country athlete for Woburn High School. I am avidly looking into continuing my running career into college and beyond. During my time at Woburn High I have obtained captaincy for all three seasons of track/cross country. Along with that I currently hold a school record in the DMR with a few of my other teammates, and I also have been voted Middlesex league all star in the 1000m and 800m runs. When looking for a college I'm in the realm of an NCAA Division 2 school or NCAA Division 1 school but I am open to other options as well. My preferred field of study is in the realm of English and communications majors in order to pursue my dream of being an English teacher. As a person I'm very easy to talk to and exorbitantly outgoing, and my goal as a person and captain is to keep my teammates happy and hardworking. I hope you consider me as an athlete to recruit for your distance running and cross country programs.
