Updates:
FRESHMAN YEAR: I have been running all of my life, but became more serious about it four years ago when I joined the Cross Country and Track teams at my school. My coaches have used a very gradual approach and I have been running about 25 miles per week. This has allowed me to remain injury free, but I also believe I have not reached my full potential.
I'm looking for a team that will motivate and push me to become a better runner. Although running can be a grueling sport, I love it because it allows me to improve myself both as a runner and as a person. I believe running is a great way to make new friends, clear my head, and relax.
The most rewarding moment of my running career was when our team placed 2nd at the state cross-country meet. I was so proud that our team had succeeded in our goal by running our best. I'm happy to be on a team that I love and to have been All-State 8 times so far in my running career. I know that I have what it takes to run on a collegiate team and I hope to continue improving throughout the remainder of my high school career.
