I started running track in 7th grade and cross country in 8th grade, where I fell in love with the sport. Since 8th grade, I have wanted to improve my skills each year in order to go to the next level of running to compete in High School, College and hopefully Professionally. I am achieving my goals in High School with running on Varsity for Track and Cross Country since my Freshmen year. I am improving my times and abilities each year. My goals for college are to earn my way to run for National Championships. I also want to earn my degree in Education and Coaching so I can teach the next generation of runners what I have learned on my journey.
I am a hard worker, who leads by example ( I learned this from my father who is retired military) and to encourage everyone on the team. No matter how difficult the practice may seem, I will be there pushing myself and encouraging everyone else to keep going and to fight through the pain. I love to see everyone improve and achieve the goals that they are capable of.
While my first quarter of Algebra 2, as a Sophmore, was a struggle, I did not give up or quit. I pushed myself and while staying in that class, achieved honor roll for 3 out of the 4 quarters. I am in Pre Cal now as a Junior, planning on taking Calculus my Senior year, and proving to myself that I can push myself and achieve the goals that I have set out before me. I am also willing to put in the work during the off season to improve my abilities and times.
