My name is Gabriel Hess and I am a senior at Huntington North high school. I am 5'9", weighing 165 pounds, and I have an absolute passion for athletics. I have many dreams and aspirations, some of which I know I am completely capible of, and others I know might be a little unreal. However, I am going to continue to work my hardest to achieve everything that I can. I played hockey, baseball, and basketball growing up until 8th grade. I was homeschooled until that point, then I participated in Track and field, and basketball. I played hockey all year round until my sophmore year, and then started playing football. I have two Varsity letters in football, (I played a little runningback, but my primary positions were cornerback and safety) and I am running my first year in Track and field since eigth grade. My main goal revolves around one aspect: making my family and myself proud, getting a good education in college to prepare myself for real life, and reaching my fullest potential. I want to attend a college or university and get a degree in excercise science.I want to be an athletic trainer. In college, I want to run Track and maybe even try and walk onto a football team as well. I have goals for track this year: all of which will take my fullest and utmost dedication and commitment. I run multiple events in the sprinting and jumping fieds. I run the 100, 200, 400, long jump, and high jump. Coaches are also trying to try and get me to polevault. But, my goals this year include beaking some of the school records, setting an amazing example for the guys in grades below me on the team, and give my absolute best in every single practice and meet I participate in. I am weak in some areas, but I am also strong in some areas too. When I commit myself to something, I do not stop until it is finished and I complete it to the best of my abilites. I love the feeling of accomplishment and progress. I am dedicated, motivated, and am good at getting things done. My weaknesses, however, sometimes have an impact on anything I do. I do not have very much self confidence, and I let other people's opinions of me effect how everything goes. All in all, I look daily for ways to impove myself, not just in my athletics. Lastly, I am also in several extra cirruclar activies such as DECA, FCA, Student Leaders, Student Council, youth group,YMCA basketball, and I used to be a leader at Awana programs for kids. I do not know what college I wish to attend, but I am slowly taking steps to get to that point.
