Personal Statement

I've been running track competitively for about six years.  I ran the AAU youth circuit before high school, winning a state championship and placing in all other years.  Track is my passion.  I train year round.  Academically, my interests and abilities are strong in mathematics and science.  My goal is to run track at the collegiate level, make a strong contribution to my track team, and do well in the classroom.  I believe the skills learned in the classroom and on the track will contribute to me being successful in my pursuits after college.
