I spent my early youth playing soccer and my greatest strength was my endurance. My mom recognized that and switched me to cross country. I was running for a club team when a family friend signed a four year running scholarship with NNU in 2009. I went to as many of his meets as I could; from that time on I dreamed of running in college. In addition to being an athlete I am a Christian and a home schooled student. I want to attend a college where I can focus on, and excel in these three very important areas of my life. I plan to obtain a degree in business accounting and believe that four years of hard work can launch me into my business and career goals. Being a varsity team captain at Rocky Mountain High School has been a privilege for me. My parents trained leadership skills into me as a child and I would love to run for a team where I can contribute both as a leader and a runner. I enjoy life in Idaho where I backpack, hunt, ski and play recreational volleyball. I have also been involved in church ministry, choir and other leadership activities. I am excited about this new chapter in my life and growing stronger and faster as a runner in these next four years.
