Greetings, my name is Jeremiah Quinton Coxton-Dease and I attend Tattnall County High School in Reidsville, Georgia. I'm currently a member of both our school's Cross Country and Track and Field Varsity teams. I have been a member of both teams since my freshman year. Prior to attending Tattnall County High School, I was a member of Reidsville Middle School Track and Field team and the Savannah-Chatham Sliver Cheetahs Track and Field Club (AAU). During my time with the Savannah-Chatham Silver Cheetahs, I was able to compete in both AAU and USATF meets and my participation did include competing in both AAU National Cross County Championship meets and AAU National Track and Field Championship meets. I have participated as a unattached AAU and USATF runner. During the summer of 2013, I was able to attend the University of Georgia Track and Field Camp in Athens, GA. By attending this camp I was able to learn more about training and race strategies to enhance my endurance level and ways to increase my running speed to decrease overall time. Its my endeavor to attend additional camps this upcoming summer and the years to come. During the summer of 2014, I was a member of the Down Under Sports Team USA Cross-Country Team. This experience allowed me to engage with athletes from other parts of the United States as well as provided me the opportunity to learn additional training skills to increase my performance as an distance runner.
I am dedicated to advance my level of growth as a distance runner. Currently I am working on this by following the instructions given by my current coaching staff, utilizing trained methods learned in camp, studying videos in the area of cross county and track and field, attending webinars in the area of track and field and cross country and give 100% effort while at practice and in every meet. Additionally, I train and run year round to work on master my skills and abilities as a distance runner in the area of cross-country and track. Its also my desire to work as an indoor athlete so that I can become a well verse athlete.
My goal to is master my craft so that each and every time I compete, I can help my team win region and state titles. I also desire to attend college on a track and field scholarship and improve academically by studying daily and seek the additional assistance from my Teachers in those areas that I know I need to improve upon because I understand must importantly academics is the overall key to success. I am working daily to improve as a student athlete in order to better prepare myself for the future and its my desire that the institution of higher learning that has interest in me will aid me in all areas just as I will continue to work hard to make self improvements.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Its my endeavor you have learned something about me that has spark an interest in my dreams, goals and aspirations and you will give me an opportunity to become a proud, active and committed member of your team.
