My key goals and aspirations include reaching my highest competitive potential as a member of a collegiate track and field team while I earn my degree in Broadcast Communications. I have always enjoyed running and competing, and I look forward to honing my skills in college.
In high school, I have been a member of the Whitefield Academy Track and Field team since my freshman year. Over these years, I have won races or placed highly in championship meets, and contributed to the team placing in the top four in the State Track meet in 2015. I was presented the Apprentice Award in 2014 season and the Coach’s Award in the 2015 season.
I also competed on the Whitefield Cross Country team for the last three years to build my strength and endurance for the subsequent track seasons. I contributed to the team winning the Regional Championships in 2014 and 2015 and was presented the Coach’s Award in both the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
I believe that I am a good candidate for your track program because I am a well-rounded person who is both team-focused and individually-focused. My primary strengths include being determined, dedicated and dependable. I will function well as a teammate and will contribute to the overall goals of the team.
In summary, I look forward to having the opportunity to earn my degree while competing as a member of your track program.
