As a collegiate I expect to be successful academically and athletically as a coachable athlete with a solid skill set that can be developed to become a great collegiate athlete. I enjoy training and building the technical skills required to excel in Track and Field events.
I am a good candidate for your team because I am dedicated, responsible and a hard worker. My athletic focus had been football and basketball and I enjoyed success. My Freshman Year the Varsity track coach invited me out for track after seeing me run during a workout. I joined the team that year and made the varsity squad. I worked hard and dedicated myself to represent the team in the 300H, Long Jump and Triple Jump events; I also ran the 4X400. My Freshman year I was honored to receive the Top Rookie Sprinter of the Year Award! After my sophomore basketball season, I dedicated myself 100% to track. My hard work and dedication has resulted in PRs after most meets and climbing the charts towards school records. I expect to hold the school record in the Long Jump, 300H and the 4X400 . This year I am enjoying regional success as well and looking forward to improving to world class status at the next level.
In addition to sports, my character has been shaped by family values and my Christian faith, I try to let my light shine and to live my life in the light of Christ. I am a community servant and enjoy actively volunteering in the community and making a difference with youth and those less fortunate than myself.
I excel academically in preparation for my continued College education. I recognize the importance of high academic performance to pursue my interest in business and engineering.
