Hi my name is Clayton Washburn, I currently live in Orlando, Florida and I will graduate in 2013. I'm a former Level 10 gymnast and I had competed for 10 years. We trained 6 days a week 4 hour a day, so I am not afraid of hard work. I qualified and competed at J.O. National's for gymnastics as a level 10.
I am 5'7", have a GPA of 3.43, and a dedicated Pole Vaulter at Olympia High School. I like to set goals but I thrive to achieve them. I am also doing additional training 2x's a week in Melbourne, FL at Pole Vault City with my coach Bobby Haeck. This is my second year Pole Vaulting with him and I have gone from a 8'6 to 15'1" so far in the past 2 years. I was first introduced to pole vaulting the spring of 2011 and this has become a passion for me and I would like to continue to pursue.
I am looking to go to a school that has a great Track & Field program and academics. I am looking to major in the area of Personal fitness or something related around that area, I love Anatomy and have been shadowing a Physical Therapist this year.
This has been an amazing year for me. We finished our season with win after win as an underdog, but to bring home the 4A State Title as team and pole vaulter. It doesn't get any better than this. Time to add to my goal list for next year.
Thank you.
Clayton
