For as long as I can remember, I've always strived to be the best I can be and worked as hard as possible in any and every pursuit whether it be academic or athletic. In the classroom I'm a standout student and frequently lead group projects and always participate in class. My favorite subject is Spanish and I find much of my success and reward in both the classroom and using Spanish in real situations outside of the classroom. On the track, I'm the hardest worker out there and effectively lead and motivate my team.
I first started running track in 6th grade and now I can't imagine the spring season without it. It's become something I look forward to everyday and train for outside of school. The reward I find in pushing myself to improve and succeeding is unmatched. The intensity and thrill of races is something I thrive off of and to be with a team and a group of people that are all working hard and pushing themselves to their limits is motivational. I have run on the Men's Varsity Track team at Georgetown Day School for the past 3 seasons, leading the team to 3 MAC conference titles and 2nd place at the DC State Indoor Track and Field Championship where I was a part of both the winning 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams. I also made the All-MAC track and field team.
No matter where I end up, I know I'll be running track because I can't imagine a school year without it. As a student athlete, my studies come first and are most important to me but I value success both in the classroom and on the track.
