Montel Brown '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior at Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, California. I am 6 feet tall and 135 pounds. In high school I have been on the Varsity track team since I was a freshmen. I also play basketball and been team captain for 3 seasons. I have been All League in High Jump in the Bay Valley Athletic League the past 2 seasons. I also was a nominee for the 2012 CIF Spirit of Sport Award. My experience as a team captain has taught me how to be a leader. I always give 110% when I practice or perform. I high jump, long jump, triple jump , run the 200 and 400m I starting to Pole Vault last season too. I am very interested in doing the decathlon in college. I am open to different schools. I am not set just on staying on the West Coast but open to all areas of the country. In order for me to attend college I will have to apply for federal loans, grants. and scholarships. My family can't afford to pay for my college education. I have not decided on a major yet. I enjoy photography and History. I am considering that as my focus in college.I really want to be on a college track team and be a key jumper for the team.
