I started running in the seventh grade, but the reason I started running will probably sound strange. When I was a seventh grader my older sister paid me to run cross country; if you are wondering how much I was paid it was only five dollars. At first I hated cross country, I was bad at it too. My first race I passed out but I can proudly say I did not come in last place and I finished the race. But as my first season went on I started to like running more and in my last race I finished in the top ten. So that is how I started running, the reason I want to keep running is because I love the sport and it has taught me so much. I believe if I run in college I can improve and become faster, and I am willing to do what is needed to become better.
