My name is Arjun Krishnan and I will be going into my junior year at the West Windsor Plainsboro North High School and graduating in 2018. I am focused on finding a highly regarded academic institution where I can pursue a major in Computer Science/Engineering while also continuing to compete in tennis at the next level.
I believe that I still have a lot to improve upon and look forward to working on my game in the coming years leading up to college. Given both the academic and athletic reputation of your college, I would love to have the opportunity to learn more about what I can be doing to make myself eligible for a position within your team as well as better understand your program.
My tennis background is as follows:
Started playing at the age of 7 and have been top 10 District in the 12,14, and 16 and under categories in USTA Middle States.
Winner/Runner up in more than 20 tournaments across Singles and Doubles
Played 1st singles for USTA Team Tennis 14 and under that won local team, district, sectional and finished 4th in Nationals for the 14 and under Intermediate division
Awarded sportsmanship award for performance in the finals held in Cayce, SC.
During Sophomore year, our team ended up placing 3rd in the Annual Mercer County Tennis Tournament, made the State Sectional finals and ended up top 20 in the state.
Made semi-finals of the Mercer County Tennis Tournament at 1st singles despite being unseeded going in.
Recognized repeatedly for Dedication and Sportsmanship awards at Nassau High Performance Tennis Academy where i have been training since the age of 9.
Working on a partnership with a local tennis club to create a tennis program for special needs kids that is anticipated to launch in fall of 2016. I have been very active in volunteering for athletic programs for special needs kids for 3 years now and plan to continue assisting these children.
