Lane Luhring '10 Recruiting Profile

1. I am 6'2" and weigh 165 lb. I have good quickness on the court. 2. I've been playing tennis since I was 6 years old. My junior year in high school, I was the 2009 Class 1A Iowa State Singles Runner-Up. Also, in my sophomore year, I placed 8th at the State Tournament. I have been Conference Champ my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior years. I was District Champion my sophomore and junior years. I compete in USTA-Missouri Valley tournaments year round. Last year, my year-end ranking was #1 in Boys 16's USTA Iowa. Currently I am ranked #3 in Boy's 18 singles in USTA Iowa. 3. I have been #1 seed on my High-School team since my freshman year. I have been the leader on our team. I also work hard out on the court during practices and matches. 4. I don't have a certain school that I want to go and compete for as of yet. I'm very open as of right now. 5. The size of the school isn't a huge deal to me. Also, the Division level is still open for me. 6. 7. I'm undecided on a major. Right now, my top choices would probably be in the field of communications or maybe business. 8. My realistic goal would be to play for a collegiate team that I could make an impact on, at the varsity level.
