Max Licona '11 Recruiting Profile

I am 6 feet and 160 pounds. I started to play tennis at age 10 and tournaments at age 12.My physical part of my game is probably my strongest asset as a tennis player. I am right-handed and have a two handed backhand. I have a big serve and accommodate serve and volley into my game. I am continuing to improve my game as my forehand and backhand keep evolving. Accomplishments wise my high school team has won the CIF city league twice as the two years I have played there. I have played from the positions varying from #1,#2,#3. In the Cif individual championships I have reached the quarterfinals in 2009 and received 3rd place in 2010. I finished in the 12's in So. Cal. at #154 and then in the 14's at # 77 and then in the 16's at #67 and now that I have been currently in the 18's for two months I'm at #55. This year I am going to be team captain at my high school. I am a hardworker and can train 4+ hours per day and am willing to do what I can to become a better player. I would prefer to go to a college in California or any place that has somewhat similar weather conditions. But I am willing to go to most places except for low population areas and extremely hot or extremely cold conditions. I would like to go to a strong academic school with a tennis team that is top division II or division III or any division I interested. School size does not matter to me. I am looking for financial aid. I am looking to go into law as my major, but I am not quite so sure yet. My goal is to start playing my first year of college on the starting lineup.
