Jon Clayton Taylor '16 Recruiting Profile

     Because I started in this amazing sport so late, as a freshman, I don't see myself reaching my fullest potential by my senior year in high school. The college swimming experience will give me the time I need to reach that pinnacle level in swimming. My goal in the pool is to see how far I can go and to stretch beyond what I never thought I could do. I want to be the best student and athlete as I can possibly be and I will never let anything interfere with my goals. Swimming is a team sport and the team aspect is very important to me. I come to practice with a good attitude and always support and encourage my teammates in reaching our collective goals.

What sets me apart from my peers is my dedication and work ethic. Whether it's in the classroom, weight room, pool, or on the track, I try to lead my team by example and I encourage hard work. I am as dedicated to my studies as I am to swimming. I want to receive the best education possible and I want to be the best swimmer I can be.
