Alexander Griffin '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0" 150 lb High School Junior swimmer from Monroe, NC and will graduate with the 2012 class. I have started on the varsity swim team of Piedmont High School my entire high school career, and earned All-Conference honors for my sophomore and junior seasons. I was selected to serve as Team Captain for the 2010-2011 season. I am the first to the pool and the last to leave. I maintain my practice schedule with my year-round team throughout the high school season, often pulling double practices all while maintaining a 3.70 weighted GPA. I carry a challenging academic course-load consisting of honors and AP classes.I have taken the SAT twice and will be re-taking the SAT this summer. I am looking for a college where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the pool. My top priority is my academic career to prepare me for life after school. My athletic goal is to be able to compete with other talent and make an impact on the team. I would be open to opportunities at all divisions.
