This past summer I traveled to Israel to compete in the Maccabiah games. I went with 47 other swimmers to compete for team USA, 24 being junior’s swimmers and 24 being senior open group. I was one of the 12 males in the open group. I swam alongside former NCAA winners and current college athletes and won 2 silver medals swimming on a relay with Garrett Webber-Gale, 2 times Beijing Gold medalist. More recently I swam at my high school 4A states meet and won the 200 medley relay splitting a 20.91 as the freestyle length, and finished 3rd in both 400 free relay and 100 free going a life-time best (at the time) of 46.14. I also swam 200 free and got 5th.
I swam at my championship meet at the end of short course and had some huge improvements. One of the biggest swims I had was 200 free which I swam 2nd on an 800 free relay and split a 1:39.19 to win sectionals. The next day I swam it individually and went 1:39.09 in the morning, out splitting Ryan Lochte for the first 150 before he decided to come home a 22.8. I then swam it at night and went a 1:39.00 missing jnrs by .21 of a second. I later swam it at another meet in attempt to get the cut and failed 3 times, so I am preparing to get it long course. It is a Winter Nationals time. I also swam 100 free and went a 45.84 in 100 free and 21.28 in 50 free. I also swam 100 and 200 fly and went 51.63 and 1:51.90 respectfully. I had huge improvements and believe I have a lot more to improve in the upcoming seasons
