Michael Presta '15 Recruiting Profile

I began swimming competitively at the age of 6. At the age of 9, I qualified the first time for the NJ Zone Team and could not attend because my parents were not able to go with me. At the age of 12 I qualified again for the LC NJ Zone Team. At this point I realized I wanted to take swimming seriously. Since then I qualified another two times, short course and long course as well. Then I qualified for the YMCA LC Nationals at 14, after being ranked 4th in the state in my age group for the 200 back. And then my dream to swim in college was born. After switching towards my current team, Jersey Flyers Aquatic Club, the technique of my strokes has become more efficient and we are improving more and more every day. At this time I think I can make an impact as a team swimmer anywhere that I am needed. I think that collegiate swimming enhances the overall experience of each student-athlete by encouraging physical, mental, and moral development. I hope I can find a school that can help me reach my academic and athletic goals.
