Jacob Wallace '13 Recruiting Profile

       I have been very fortunate to find swimming as a sport.  I tried them all as a young athlete, but it wasn't until eighth grade when I started swimming.  I couldn't even swim all the strokes.  I had patient  coaches that helped me to travel to states my first year.  As a freshman I swam varsity and scored the highest amount of points for my team.  It was because of my hard work that coach awarded me the Coaches' award as a freshman.  As a sophmore I broke the school record for  breast stroke. I  received the MVP from my coach as he told everyone I was the hardest worker he has seen in his eight year coaching career.  I presently stand six feet tall and weigh 140 pounds.
     I believe I can offer my team leadership in demonstrating hard work.  I enjoy cheering my teammates and encouraging them to be the best that they can.  I have always had a great time being a part of a team.
      I am willing to travel to any school (size or location) as long as I can swim in college.  I think because I started later than most,  I still enjoy it.  I haven't decided on a major yet, but am leaning towards accounting.
