I am hardworking, fun loving swimmer. I've been swimming ever since I could remember starting at my beach club. Noticing my talent as a little kid, I joined a club team called Barracudas. It was a large team, so as I got older I felt a need for maybe more individual focus. I joined Central Jersey Aquatics Club when I was about 11 years old. It was a perfect fit for my as far as the team size, coaches, and teammates went. CJACS and my high school swimming team have taught me what it means to be a teammate. It is more of a responsibility then a title, not only do I have to make sure I'm aiming for success, but I have to help my teammates do the same as well. In my sophomore year of school, my grades were not what I had wanted them to be, so I took a six month break from swimming. Starting summer of 2015, I went back to practice for my club team and I've had an itch to make up the lost time ever since. I believe the short break from swimming made a more dedicated and focused athlete. During my break, I had more anxiety and got easily stressed out over things. Both me and my parents knew that if I went back to practice I would be more leveled out. It was extremely hard to work back to the position I was at, and keep up with my teammates. Now I am in the best shape I feel I have ever been, both physically and mentally, and want nothing more than to swim for a college team that's looking for both group and individual success; and to push myself and my teammates past our limits in what we can do in and out of the pool.
