I will be attending the New Jersey Institute of Technology in the Fall 2015 semester.
I am a swimmer and as of today, I am a sprinter than continues to look to improve in all aspects of the sport.
I started organized swimming later than most of my swimming colleagues, but have really developed a love for the sport. I now aspire to swim at the collegiate level. I know that swimming at the college level is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my life and I am looking forward to this challenge.
I still have a lot to learn and to improve on, but I am confident that with my positive attitude and willingness to work hard to achieve my goals, I can become a successful collegiate swimmer. I feel I have the competitive nature, swimming techniques and dedication to succeed at the collegiate level. I am always looking at ways to improve as a swimmer and more importantly as a person. I am very coachable and will put in the time and the effort it will take for me to achieve my goals and help my teammates.
At the high school level, I continue to mature and have a clear understanding of the importance of maintaining a good GPA. I work as a life guard in my community during the summers and take great pride in teaching children how to swim every Saturday after my practice. It is a great feeling to see them progress.
I would like to attend a college where I will be challenged in the pool and more importantly in the classrooms. I aspire to ultimately find the right college that will allow me to compete at highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my family proud.
