Nick Dionisopoulos '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Nick Dionisopoulos. I am a junior at Lincoln Southwest High School in Lincoln Nebraska. I take school very seriously, I work hard in class and take challenging courses. I also take pride in my 4.0 GPA and class rank of 1 out of 431. Outside of school, I am involved in Academic Quiz Bowl, Boy Scouts, and of course, swimming. Some of my hobbies include reading, working out, fishing, and traveling.

I have been swimming for as long as I can remember, and I was quite good when I was younger. But when I was around 12, I decided to take a break from swimming. Fast forward to my freshmen year of high school, and some of my friends got me to try out for the team. That first week of practice was one of the hardest weeks of my life, but I managed to stick through the year and realized that I really enjoyed this sport. I decided to continue on a club team, and now, two years later, I haven't missed a practice!

 I have really taken a liking to the breastroke. When I was a freshmen, at the end of the high school season, I went a 1:04 in the 100 breast. My sophomore year I went 59.10 at the state meet, and as a junior I went 58.58. Other events I enjoy to swim besides the 100 breast are the 200 breast, 200 IM, and 200 back events.

In the future, I would love to swim in college while pursuing a business or finance degree.
