Giorgio DelGrosso '16 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to be a college athlete to reach my full potential as a student-athlete. I hope to reach my highest level of performance as a college swimmer and become a great person throughout the process. Furthermore, I know that repeatedly pushing myself past the level of exhaustion in college will allow me to come out as a stronger person. Throughout my high school swimming career, I have proved to my team and coach that I am a worthy leader. As a result of my handwork and leadership skills, I was voted to be a captain during my senior year. I hope to lead my team by showing each person how to become a leader, trust themselves and make responsible choices in and out of the pool. Although it is somewhat cliche, I truly do always try to put my team before myself. I allow my coach to put me in the events that will benefit the team the most, even if I don't score as well. Furthermore, as a junior and especially this year as a senior, I plan to push my underclassmen to work harder than they ever have before so we can continue our tradition of excellence. I believe that it is my job to lead my team to excellence and I will pursue it with a strong sense of morality.
