I have been swimming for fifteen years and after getting a taste of college swimming I want nothing more than to get back in the pool. I have already withdrawn from my previous college as sophomore looking to find a new school and swim team by next semester, my release is posted to my account.
After not being able to practice and only race my senior year (due to a broken jaw) I spent last year readjusting to the sport as well as a much higher intensity training. The payoff was substantial and I dropped over a second in each of my events (except 50 freestyle -0.8). After going from training 3-4500 yards 5 times per week (highschool) to 4-6000 yards 6 times per week (college) I took some time to adjust. At first things seemed slow, and then results began to show. My relays were by far my best events (400 free- 46.84 and 200 free- 21.01)
I have barley cracked the surface of my potential, and wish to train as hard as possible to reach times much faster than my current standings. After my teammate/roommate having to leave college for medical issues, my coach taking another position at another school, and the mens team having only 5 swimmer led me to drop out for the semester in search of another school. I want a higher intensity team that can come together and train for each other and not simply with each other. I have good academic standing, have always stayed out of trouble, and am excited to make new friends at a new school. Thank you for your time and I hope I recieve your consideration.
