Austin Von Heeringen '14 Recruiting Profile

I have been on a swim team since I was five years old. It started as something my parents made me do, but has grown into something that I love.   I can't pinpoint when the transition from " after school activity" to "vocation" occurred, but it has.  As I face the choice of where to pursue my education and eventual career goal as a physical therapist, I certainly want a swim team at my school to be an integral part of my college experience.  I have a great work ethic in the classroom and in the pool. I am looking for a good fit where I can contribute to the team , and continue to improve under the guidance of an excellent coaching staff and the mentoring of the upper class teammates. I also hope that the team will provide an instant network for me as a freshman to transition smoothly into the college lifestyle.
