Vincent Walden '18 Recruiting Profile

I started swimming when I was thirteen years old, and I have grown immensely in a very short period of time.  Since I first jumped in the pool, I have aspired to swim competitively.  I do not want to attend a college where I cannot swim. Swimming has become a part of my life. I like putting in the effort and realizing the results that I can achieve. I am a very competitive swimmer with technique and times to succeed at the collegiate level. I am a leader and try to lead by example.  I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working swimmers on the team.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a good GPA. I also volunteer at my church in various roles and am currently a teen and peer mentor to middle school youth and high school youth.  I would like to attend a college where I can swim, be challenged both in the water and out, and earn a degree so I can continue to work in the field of athletics.
