Personal Statement
My name is Alasdair McGhee I live in Scotland I go to Stewarton Academy in East Ayrshire. Swimming is a passion of mine, having swam with Kilmarnock Swim Club for many years I moved to South Ayrshire Swim Team to train with National and performance squads. I have competed successfully in many district and national championships and was selected as part of North West Scotland to go to the Sainsbury school games in September 2015.
Outside of swimming I have represented my School Stewarton Academy in Basketball and cross country running. Academically I have achieved five national fives in in English, modern studies, graphics, physical education and biology. Last year I sat four Highers in Physical Education, Modern Studies, English and Biology, this year I am sitting 4 Highers in Environmental Science, Geography, physics, psychology and a Nat 5 in maths. I have also achieved my level one teaching for swimming. My skills as a person have been developed through school and swimming and I think I can be a good leader through my sport.
