My long-term goals as a swimmer is to continue to improve as an athlete, a scholar and a teammate. Swimming can be an isolating sport, but it does not have to be. It is not only important to push myself to attain high achievements in and out of the pool, but to encourage and support those around me to do the same. I want to be an excellent athlete, but I also look for opportunities to improve as a leader. As I begin high school, I hope to continue to drop time from my events, achieve academic success, be a leader. My sights are set on being able to swim and be a good student citizen in a college swim program after high school.
