My name is Grant Burley and I've been around the water from a very young age. I decided to join club swimming when I was eight years old. Since I joined club swimming I became very dedicated to the sport. I have a drive to constantly improve my swimming. Swimming has lead me to discover that I hate to lose more than I love to win. I hold myself to a high standard and work everyday to improve at least one part of my swimming. Since I have began my high school career, I have made varsity all four years of high school. I am a seven time IHSAA sectional finalist for my individual events. I was a part of a top eight IHSAA 400 freestyle relay at state in 2015. I have qualified for Indiana Swimming Senior State for over three years now. I was a part of the Counsilman Center Indiana Swim Team Junior National Team and swam at NCSA Jr Nationals in Orlando, Florida during the spring of 2015. Besides the time qualifications, I am currently the team captain of the CCiST team and I was the team captain of the Bloomington High School South Boys Swim Team. I am dedicated to being a strong leader and helping others succeed in and out of the pool. As for my future, I am looking for a college that has a strong pre-medical program. I do not have a specific climate or location that I want to go. I enjoy both the warmth and the cold. I am a very strong in science and math, and I plan to be a biology or chemistry major. After my four years of undergraduate study, I plan to go to medical school and become a physician. I have interned for many physicians now, and I am certain it is what I want to do. I enjoy helping others and plan to spend the rest of my life doing it.
