My name is David Patrick Bunting. I attend Christopher Community High School in southern Illinois. Christopher is a small, quiet town and I’ve lived here since the middle of grade school. Ever since I was young I’ve wanted to help people. My motivation is focused on that care for others and I know I will focus and do well in a field that shares my knowledge, energy, and/or strength to benefit myself and others mutually. One that I can also keep an interest in scientifically to better my abilities. I am interested in a career of optometry, but I am not definitely sure. I work hard in order to accomplish my goals and I will for my future major. This translates into both my school work and swim training. I work with intensity to achieve whatever goals I have. I certainly am not the best swimmer in the world, but I have effort for the pool and respect for my coaches and teammates to excel me to being the best. I work to be better everyday and I become better to help others. Swimming has been the greatest thing I’ve done for myself. The exercise helped me physically and improved my social skills with new friends. I’ve been an underdog to great teammates, support to others throughout time, and now I lead my team members every day in practice. I look at my team mates as a family. We hold a lot of respect for one other and we always go out of our way to take care of every team member. I’m as happy to see them as I am to see the light of day. Swimming isn’t just a sport to me, it’s a part of my life I’m thankful to have.
