Sean Fronczak '09 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sean Fronczak and I am currently a senior at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California where I have achieved many academic awards including high honors for the past three years. My academic interests are in science and mathematics and I hope to pursue a career as an engineer. I am open to any college that will foster this passion and allow me an opportunity to be a viable member of a college swim program. As a competitive swimmer, I enjoy swimming all events and I am not afraid of hard training, be it distance, middle distance or sprint. I enjoy pushing myself, while pushing others. I relish every opportunity practice gives me to compete against myself and my teammates. I have represented Pacific Swimming as a key member of the Western Zones All Star Team several times and enjoy the team atmosphere. These past two years have really prepared me for my college experience. My mother, a single parent, must travel in order to maintain her current employment. When she travels, I'm home alone for several days at a time. This situation has forced me to grow my independence and has taught me some valuable lessons that I use to maintain my grades while attending swim practices (5:30 a.m. every morning) and somehow prevent the house from burning down (just kidding Mom!). I will look forward to making an impact on a competitive college swim team next year!
